Howdy Guys, welcome to my second guide, my first was a basic Anime Convention Survival Guide, a few months ago. This time i have decided to talk about "Artist/Writers Block".

First off, i dont believe that Artist/Writers Block is a real condition, since its just a state of mind. but lets go to wikipedia to get a good explanation of Artists/Writers Block:
"Writer's block is a condition, primarily associated with writing as a profession, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work. The condition varies widely in intensity. It can be trivial, a temporary difficulty in dealing with the task at hand. At the other extreme, some "blocked" writers have been unable to work for years on end, and some have even abandoned their careers. It can manifest as the affected writer viewing their work as inferior or unsuitable, when in fact it could be the opposite."
So its not that your unable to make art, its when you dont have confidence in your drawings, or a lack of inspiration, So i present to you:12 Ways to Beat Artist/Writers Block, in no particular order.

#1: Figure out what inspires you, then get inject yourself in your inspiration.
Explanation: For me, i find Haute Couture Fashion amazingly inspiring, so every month i get VOUGE Australia, this is a great recharge and its so thick i never finish a catalogue before the next months issue is out.
Ideas:
If anime is a big inspiration, find a new series to start.
If photography works, try Tumblr or Flickr.
If its books which work, go to your local book store.

#2: Relax, Be Happy
Explanation: Recently i started putting extra pressure on myself to draw and upload. Rather than actually producing it, i kept stressing over it. Then i realised to just forgive myself, and relax.
Ideas:
Clean your environment, a clean work area will be less distracting.
Go for a walk.
Have a Shower.
Go out, party and just blow of all that steam.

#3: Draw, Draw, Draw
Explanation: you might think is drawing the best way to get rid of an artist block? well yes it is!
if you keep drawing, you'll come up with some new ideas
Ideas:
Keep a sketchbook on you at all times, so you can sketch when ever!
Dont be afraid to write down ideas, rather than draw massive images. sometimes notes and dot points can work wonders!

#4: Experiment!!
Explanation:What better way to relieve some artist block by trying new materials/mediums/subjects?
Ideas:
For the next week use a new medium (for example: if you use coloured pencil use paint.)
Take your sketchbook with you on a walk and find something you wouldn't normally draw and draw it!

#5: Go to a Real Life Gallery!
Explanation: What better way to get inspired than looking at other peoples work up and close, websites like DA are amazing but there is so much art that you dont know where to look. Galleries have smaller amounts with great presentation.
